      • CAMELOZAMPA snc di Segato F. e Saorin S.

CAMELOZAMPA is an independent children’s books publisher, founded in Italy in 2011 and winner of the BOP 2020 - Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year (Europe). Our aim is to publish fresh and inspiring picture books and novels that help young readers in pursuing happiness, understanding diversities, becoming aware of themselves. One of our strong points is the rediscovery of international masterpieces that never appeared on the Italian market or that have not been available for long time. Alongside these redescoveries we carry out a creative production work, thanks to Italian and international authors and illustrators who share with us the fascinating and unpredictable path which leads to the birth of a children’s book. We think independent publishers have the task to cultivate bibliodiversity, in order to get narrations to their readers, through images and words that can amaze, excite, reflect, offer unexpected glimpses and open windows on far-off or nearby different worlds.

        Gemälde und Drama

        Giotto Masaccio Leonardo

        by Ivan Nagel

        Florenz

        Ein Reisebegleiter

        by Birgit Haustedt

        Labels of Origin for Food

        Local Development, Global Recognition

by Gilles Allaire, Erik Thévenod-Mottet, Filippo Arfini, Sophie Reviron, Angela Tregear, Giovanni Belletti, Dominique Barjolle, Denis Sautier, Andrea Marescotti, Ana I Sanjuán, Julien Frayssignes, Claudio Montanari. Edited by Elizabeth Barham, Bertil Sylvander.

Agri-food traditional, regional and typical products are an important resource for agricultural and rural development in many areas of the European Union. These Origin Labelled Products (OLPs) activate a complex system of relationships involving the local production and marketing and distribution systems, rural development dynamics and the consumer. Based on research conducted in European countries, this book provides an account of the current state of OLPs, enabling a better understanding of their characteristics and evolution in the agri-food system. It also assesses public policies at various levels and the effects of legal protection, financial support and public promotional initiatives on those involved, and consumers’ and citizens’ concerns and expectations.

Hurley, Fiona Impson, Cally Jansen, Nolweth

The book provides a comprehensive overview of current knowledge about "wattles", a large clade of over 1000 species of trees and shrubs in the genus Acacia, most of which are native to Australia. It examines the biology, ecology, evolution, and biogeography of wattles in their native ranges, including the evolutionary forces that have driven past speciation and adaptation to diverse environments, the conservation status, uses and human perceptions of these species. It considers the different histories of the introductions and proliferation of wattles as alien species in different parts of the world since c. 1850 (the Anthropocene), situated within relevant political, socio-economic and scientific contexts, together with an analysis of how awareness of their impacts as invasive species has changed over time. Differences in the dynamics and trends associated with the introduction, naturalization and invasion of wattles in different parts of the world are reviewed. The book also synthesizes the global distribution of wattles using diverse data sources, alongside trends, patterns and projections of global uses of wattles. It discusses the genetics, biotic interactions, and ecological, economic and social impacts of invasive wattles. The first comprehensive global synthesis in book form of aspects of the biology, ecology, biogeography and management of one of the world's most important woody plant genera. Provides the foundation for the assessment of evidence-based information required to formulate sustainable management strategies for non-native plants that have both benefits and negative impacts. Sheds new light on many aspects of plant invasion science. This book is aimed at academics and students in the field of ecology, and at managers of natural and anthropic ecosystems, policy-makers and regulators, and the general public interested in biology and environmental science.
