Masr El Arabia for Publishing and Distribution
We are Masr El Arabia for Publishing and Distribution, an Egyptian publishing house located in Cairo – Egypt. Established in 1977 with a focus on distribution and few but carefully selected titles. In 2007 we decided to shift more to publishing and started with academic books then lately we added a new line which is translated literature, we care most about the quality of the work and we managed to present many foreign authors for the first time to the Arab readers such as Goncalo Tavares, Immanuel Mifsud, Reiner Englemann, Julian Fuks, Kelly James Clark and others, also we managed to publish the Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich (Chernobyl Prayer) 2015, Jo Nesbo and many others during the past few years. We would like to mention that prior to the publishing house, we established Al Thaqafa Al Jadeeda Bookshop in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) which was one of the first book shops in the country. We participate in almost all the Arab book fairs, and we have our books distributed in every Arab country through the major bookshop chains and local distributors.

Von Beckenbauer bis Pelé, von Kai Havertz bis Emerson – hinter jedem ihrer Tore steckt ein Moment des Stolzes und ewigen Ruhms, eine Erinnerung, die unauslöschlich ist. Wieso sie sich jeweils für das eine entschieden haben, erläutern sie in kurzen Texten. Jede Zeichnung eine Gelegenheit, sich zu erinnern, zu diskutieren oder sogar das eine oder andere Tor nachzuspielen.

Herausgegeben, im Auftrag der Klassik Stiftung Weimar, von Javier Arnaldo und Hermann Mildenberger. Die Klassik Stiftung Weimar besitzt einen einmaligen Bestand von eigenhändigen Zeichnungen Goethes – ein Schatz, der nach aufwendiger Restaurierung erstmals wieder in der Öffentlichkeit gezeigt wird: Im Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid wird von Ende Januar bis Ende April 2008 eine repräsentative Auswahl von über 70 Landschaftszeichnungen ausgestellt. Das Buch zu dieser Ausstellung enthält alle ausgestellten Bilder und erscheint parallel auf deutsch im Insel Verlag. Im historischen Teil seiner Farbenlehre kommt Goethe auch – in einer "Konfession des Verfassers" – auf sich selbst zu sprechen: "Ich war in einsamen Stunden früherer Zeit auf die Natur aufmerksam geworden, wie sie sich als Landschaft zeigt, und hatte, da ich von Kindheit auf in den Werkstätten der Maler aus und ein ging, Versuche gemacht, das, was mir in der Wirklichkeit erschien, so gut es sich schicken wollte, in ein Bild zu verwandeln; ja ich fühlte hiezu, wozu ich eigentlich keine Anlage hatte, einen weit größern Trieb als zu demjenigen, was mir von Natur leicht und bequem war." Das zeichnerische Werk Goethes steht also zumindest zeitweise mit im Zentrum von Goethes Schaffen. Essays von Javier Arnaldo, Werner Hofmann, Petra Maisak, Margarete Oppel und anderen vertiefen den Eindruck, den Goethes Landschaften hinterlassen, und stellen sie in ihren lebens- und werkgeschichtlichen Kontext.
