View Rights PortalOur lives and daily routine are full of science. But when it comes to gravity or quantum theory, DNA or black holes, a great many people feel like scientific illiterates – and indeed they are. “I don’t understand it anymore”, many say. Too many, according to Ernst Peter Fischer. His mission is to reawaken our curiosity with his exciting and challenging appeal to appreciate how important, fascinating and lively science is. Do we really want to be immature about science? Fischer’s book is an endeavour so the light of scientific reason can finally shine brightly.
No disease is incurable. Extraordinarily rapid, miraculous healing is possible. Modern physics’ breakthroughs in quantum physics and M-Theory—along with scientifically verified phenomena such as the placebo effect and instant physiological changes undergone by multiple-personality sufferers—support millennia old spiritual traditions that suggest that not only is extraordinary, miraculous healing possible, but that we have innate soul powers—our emotions, personal beliefs, and our ability to connect to Spirit—that directly and powerfully determine our health and ability to self-heal.
In this beautifully written book you will thoughtfully explore what it means to be human and our potential as spiritual beings, learn who and what walk-ins, starseeds, and hybrids are, their identifying signs and attributes and gain captivating insights through personal narratives. You will explore timelines, parallel realities, and planes of existence within the cosmos, discover the quantum principles that govern dimensions, densities, and the harmonic universe and uncover the multidimensional aspects of human existence by exploring energetic systems that shape our very essence. Cosmic Convergence is cutting edge and fresh.
Less than two decades ago, the world was focusing on the impending food crisis across Asia, which was given little hope of ever being able to meet its rapidly growing food demand. Since then, Asia has made a quantum leap in food production. Technological innovations and policies that promoted intensive rice production systems helped achieve this. The authors of this book argue that there is a growing sense of complacency about future food supplies in Asia and that such complacency is not warranted. While rice productivity may increase, this will be limited by a number of factors: withdrawal of land and labor from agriculture to other uses, increased competition for resources, and land degradation. It is unlikely to match the increase in demand for rice because of population growth. The book provides a thorough assessment of the opportunities for increasing land productivity, including crop diversification. It evaluates the successes and limitations of the Green Revolution for rice in Asia and projects economic and technological trends forward over the next three decades.

This novel, a bestseller in Baghdad, starts with the first two American tanks that crossed over the Jumhuriya Bridge into the heart of Baghdad in 2003, as the narrator watches events unfold from her grandfather’s house at the riverfront. That’s when her emigration journey begins, setting her on a path to experience both love and death away from her country. After her mother passes away, her father resorts to quantum physics in an attempt to interpret the meaning of existence, while the nameless protagonist discovers the novels of Virginia Woolf, Charles Dickens, and Francoise Sagan. ///The author depicts how different generations of the same family live different worlds, separated by experiences and time despite occupying the same physical spaces. The Jumhuriya Bridge threads symbolism throughout the novel—ushering in the beginning of the military fall of the city and later being the setting of sporadic events, from innocent flirting, to gulls, down to the shocking event that pushes the story up to its climax.
Countries across the globe invest tens of billions in particle physics, which relies on the Standard Model. This model is styled by its proponents as “the most accurate theory in history, in any field.” This book presents a long series of failures found with the theory: its inability to explain basic phenomena known since the 1930s; its prediction of particles and materials that have refused to be uncovered even in lunar rocks; the growing recognition that basic assumptions underlying the model are incorrect; and more. This is the first time these well-documented data have been compiled in a simple and coherent fashion, allowing science enthusiasts to understand the scientific failures and the sociological reasons for scientists' inability to openly discuss these flaws. Only a few dare to express their doubts: “Ironically, from the perspective of QCD, the foundations of nuclear physics appear distinctly unsound.”—Frank Wilczek, Nobel laureate, 2004 (QCD is a central part of the Standard Model.) An English-language eBook edition was published in late 2014 by Samuel Wachtman’s Sons, Inc., CA. 292 pages, 15 x 22.5 cm
The phenomenon of anti-scientific disinformation has been discussed in the recent past under the acronym FLICC (Fake experts, Logical fallacies, Impossible expectations, Cherry-picking and Conspiracy theories), especially as it pertains to the topic of climate change. What is generally missing however is a more comprehensive consideration of science denial in diff erent disciplines with a critical examination of the central arguments and a comparison of the parallels. Holm Gero Hümmler dedicates himself to this task in this readable and fact-orientated book on topics such as genetic engineering, mobile phone networks, radioactivity, and chips that are implanted under the skin for medical reasons.
—300th birthday of Tobias Mayer in February 2023 — The rediscovery of a great scientist — A chapter in the fascinating history of science The story of Tobias Mayer's life (1723 to 1762) is that of a child prodigy and orphan who became a pioneer of the Enlightenment as a cartographer, mathematician, physicist and astronomer. Having never been to university, at the age of 28 he was appointed a professor in Göttingen by the Elector of Hanover and King of England. He revolutionised cartography with his zeal and skill, helping sailors to find the right path across the seas and providing people with the firstever clear view of the moon. 17th February 2023 marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of Tobias Mayer. High time to recall this prototype of a scientist.
Polar Quantum is a scifi novel set in the 22nd century. Global warming finally caused polar caps to melt and the air to become poisonous. To save humankind, two giant domes were built: one in Greenland, where rich people live; and one in Antarctica, for scientists and intellectuals. Antarctica is the sole remaining part of the Earth where some permanent ice survives, allowing for the development of a type of quantum technology to create a system of AI humanoid systems, that interact with humans being to save what remains of the planet. In this context, historian Gabriel Beristain moves to Quanta, in Antarctica, with his family, where he has been tasked with translating classic works of literature into Kunstig, a language developed to allow the interaction of humanoids and humans. What seems to be a fascinating project opens the door to a world of intrigue, betrayal, and violence that puts the fragile balance of Antarctica, and the survival of the world, into question. The purpose of Polar Quantum is depticing a world where the very essence of humankind is put to the test, and where the coexistence of synthetic humanoids and flesh and blood humans is possible…only if they work together.
