Photo Travel Editions is an italian independent Publishing House founded in 2018 and directed by Giovanni Marino. Books and reading are necessary tools to communicate beauty and to transmit memory and identity. In this context, Photo Travel Editions, develops as a natural evolution of a complex reality with the aim of giving voice to the need to spread and share the cultural tool par excellence, the book. Photo Travel Editions combines aspects of traditional publishing with the new modern publishing of E-books and audiobooks. The unsettled landscapes of Vancouver photo-conceptualism

Engendering an avant-garde is the first book to comprehensively examine the origins of Vancouver photo-conceptualism in its regional context between 1968 and 1990. Employing discourse analysis of texts written by and about artists, feminist critique and settler-colonial theory, the book discusses the historical transition from artists' creation of 'defeatured landscapes' between 1968-71 to their cinematographic photographs of the late 1970s and the backlash against such work by other artists in the late 1980s. It is the first study to provide a structural account for why the group remains all-male. It accomplishes this by demonstrating that the importation of a European discourse of avant-garde activity, which assumed masculine social privilege and public activity, effectively excluded women artists from membership.

It combines a photo album and 3 books of traveling prose from the literary heritage of Sofia Yablonska (1907-1971) Sophia was called "Theura" - a red bird - and thus recognized as female native of the island of Bora Bora, where she was one of the first to appear with a photo and film camera. In Indochina, Egypt, Ceylon, Bali, Tahiti, New Zealand - everywhere in the world, she filmed a "live" picture of life, and not fashionable productions at that time. In October 1934, the fifth anti-encirclement failed, the Central Red Army evacuated the Soviet Union and began the Long March. The Red Army field hospital was bombed by enemy planes and suffered heavy casualties. Dong Xiuyun, a female soldier who stayed at the field hospital to look after the wounded, decided to take the wounded with her and chase the troops. Dong Xiuyun took in the soldiers of the various units who were left alone along the road, forming a special team. After the team came to Shazhou Village, the three female Red Army lived in Xu Xiexiu's house. When parting, Dong Xiuyun cut the only one quilt in half to Xu Xiexiu. This book nourishes the young people's spiritual world with red culture, inherits the red gene, and allows the spirit of the Long March to be passed on from generation to generation among children.

Alison Smith examines the effect of this re-thinking across the spectrum of French production, the rise of new genres and re-formulation of older ones. Chapters investigate political thrillers, historical films, new naturalism and Utopian fantasies, dealing with a wide variety of films. A particular concern is the extent to which film-makers' ideas and intentions are contained in or contradicted by their finished work, and the gradual change in these ideas over the decade. "The Charm of Morocco" is the debut travel novel of the Ukrainian traveler, writer, artist and photographer Sofia Yablonska, first published in Lviv in 1932. The author lived in Morocco for four months, during which she researched and described Arab Africa. The writer's report is deeply personal, her unbiased view of this country is devoid of French influence and established genre traditions of the exotic novel, despite the fact that Sofia had already lived in Paris for several years before going to Morocco. It describes the different strata of Arab society, their relations with each other and with foreigners, the position of women and the Berber tribes free from the European protectorate. The 2018 edition is part of the TEURA art project. Sofia Yablonska", the purpose of which is to return Sofia Yablonska to the cultural discourse and establish her as a relevant character of Ukrainian art. In addition to "The Charm of Morocco", two other travel novels by Sofia - "From the Land of Rye and Opium" and "Far Horizons", as well as a book of her photos taken in the 1930s - will be published as part of the project. Lukácsian film theory and cinema explores Georg Lukács' writings on film. The Hungarian Marxist critic Georg Lukács is primarily known as a literary theorist, but he also wrote extensively on the cinema. These writings have remained little known in the English-speaking world because the great majority of them have never actually been translated into English - until now. Aitken has gathered together the most important essays and the translations appear here, often for the first time. This book thus makes a decisive contribution to understandings of Lukács within the field of film studies, and, in doing so, also challenges many existing preconceptions concerning his theoretical position. For example, whilst Lukács' literary theory is well known for its repudiation of naturalism, in his writings on film Lukács appears to advance a theory and practice of film that can best be described as naturalist. Lukácsian film theory and cinema is divided into two parts. In part one, Lukács' writings on film are explored, and placed within relevant historical and intellectual contexts, whilst part two consists of the essays themselves. This book will be of considerable interest to scholars and students working within the fields of film studies, literary studies, intellectual history, media and cultural studies. All the five little girls, though struggling, broke out of cultural and societal stereotypes swirling around them and became their true selves.
