Prisoner of Love
by James P. Hadley
Description
Perfect love meets perfect crime with the hot summer of Greek crisis in the background. ‘Prisoner of Love’ is a book that proves how easily dreams can turn into nightmares. From one page to the other!
Marcella Wanton is just a salesperson near her 30s, still waiting for her other half. One day, her dreams come true. But after a while, out of the blue, her prince charming disappears. Meanwhile, the famous best-selling writer Magdalena Love has a new lover. He is a Greek unemployed adventurer, who used to dream of becoming a writer. Love persuades him to write a romantic best-seller under her instructions. He accepts. But he doesn’t know that the end of the book will also be his own end… Prisoner of Love is a novel balancing between the romance of mass market love stories and the suspense of crime fiction paperback novels. It is also about the love of books and the experience of writer’s block. Α breath-taking book that starts off as a seemingly light read but builds up very subtly and masterfully to a brilliantly genius climax where reality and fiction blend beautifully.
