Author Biography
Prof. T.S Chandrasekhara Rao has vast experience of administration for more than 10 years as Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Science SVVU, Tirupati. He served as Director of Research (FAC) for two and half years, Associate Dean College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati for 3 years and Head of the Department of Anatomy, College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati for 12 years. Dr. Rao was Member, Board of Management, KVAFSU, Academic Council, TANUVAS and KVAFSU, Sectoral Committee of Accreditation Board of ICAR, Governing Council, NAVS for two terms, Advisory Body of National Testing Agency, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for All India ICAR-UG, PG and JRF/SRF Examination and advisory body of VCI, FAO Fellow at Cornell University, USA, President, Indian Assoc. of Vet. Anatomists for six years and PI of ICAR Ad hoc Research Scheme. He was conferred Bharat Ratna Dr. C. Subramaniam outstanding Teacher award of ICAR and Meritorious Teacher Award of Govt. of A.P. and is Fellow of IAVA,NAVS and IAAVR and authored one text book, two monographs, a chapter in ‘ICAR Hand Book of Animal Husbandry” and prepared 12 Laboratory Manuals. He has published 169 research papers, guided 8 research scholars and organized three national Conferences. He was referee for 9 Journals and Member Editorial Board of Indian Buffalo Journal, and Indian journal of Vet. Research. He was Chairman, BSMAC on Basic veterinary sciences for revision of ICAR PG regulations and syllabus 2020 and is also Chairman of the commttee of ICAR for revision of ARS syllabus for basic veterinary sciences (2022). He is on Expert panel for recruitment of Teachers of 16 universities, UPSC and ASRB, Member, Research Council, KVASU and Academic Council, BEST Innovation University and Member, QRT of IVRI. Prof. P. Jagapathi Ramayya is presently working as Technical Officer to Vice-Chancellor of SVVU, Tirupati. He joined in the service as an Assistant Professor on 5-3-1999. His specialization is Developmental anatomy and Histology. He completed his B.V.Sc & AH in 1993 and M.V.Sc during 1997 from ANGRAU and Ph.D during 2007 from GADVASU, Ludhiana. He is recipient of State best teacher award, Fellow Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists (2016), Dr. A.M Srivastava Award for Best Ph.D thesis, Dr. P.S Lalitha Award (2009) for Best publication in IJVA and Dr. G.Rajeswara Rao Memorial award (2011). He Published 92 research publications in various Journals of National and International repute and he is referee for 8 National and International journals. He guided 5 M.V.Sc and 3 Ph.D students of Veterinary Anatomy. He is Principal Investigator of NAHEP (I.G) project of ICAR, New Delhi. He is author for Text Book entitled “Fundamentals of Developmental Anatomy” Published in 2012. He prepared 6 Lab manuals for U.G and P.G courses and he also Prepared “Virtual Dissection Software of Cow” as an alternative for dissection in Veterinary Anatomy at CVSc, Tirupati.
