Author Biography

Married to a Japanese and being a mother of two girls, Candace used to follow her maternal grandmother of Chiuchow in and out of kitchen as a little girl. In her junior high school years, she was already able to cook a full dinner with multiple courses  for her family. After getting married, she wanted her husband to enjoy authentic Japanese home cooking away from home. That’s why she worked hard to study all kinds of home-style Japanese recipes.

Candace established her Facebook fan page in April 2004, sharing the jolly bento she made for her daughters every day. So far, over 80,000 fans are following her fanpage. In the same year, she was invited to be a guest instructor at Towngas Cooking Centre, teaching Japanese bento for kids. She was also a regular in various shopping malls and promotional events as a food stylish or teaching bento workshops. Candace was appointed the consultant for many famous Japanese comic characters.
