Julio Llamazares wurde 1955 als Sohn des Dorfschullehrers in Vegamián, in der nordspanischen Provinz León, geboren. Mit 12 Jahren wurde er in ein Internat nach Madrid geschickt. Er studierte zunächst Jura, arbeitete jedoch nur kurze Zeit als Rechtsanwalt. Statt dessen begann er in Madrid für verschiedene Medien journalistisch tätig zu werden. Seine erste literarische Veröffentlichung war der Gedichtband La lentitud des los bueyes von 1979, der den "Premio de Poesía Antonio G. de Lama" erhielt. Eine Essay-Sammlung El entierro de Genarín. Evangelio apócrifo del último heterodoxo español folgte 1981 und ein Jahr später weitere Gedichte unter dem Titel Memoria de la nieve, die mit dem "Premio Jorge Guillén" ausgezeichnet wurden. Neben den drei Romanen, Luna de lobos (1985, dt. Wolfsmond, 1991), La lluvia amarilla (1988, dt. Der gelbe Regen, 1991) und Escenas de cine mudo (1994, dt. Stummfilmszenen, 1998) sind von Llamazares auch journalistische Arbeiten und Reiseberichte in Buchform erschienen. Luna de lobos, der erste Roman, war in Spanien ein großer literarischer Erfolg und wurde zwei Jahre später unter demselben Titel, nach einem von Llamazares verfaßten Drehbuch, verfilmt. Die Erfahrung des Verlustes seines Geburtsortes - 1968 mußte das Dorf einem Stausee weichen - war prägend für das literarische Schaffen von Julio Llamazares. Die verlassene, vom Aussterben bedrohte ländliche Bergregion Leóns und Asturiens bildet immer wieder den Hintergrund seiner Werke. Im Zentrum steht das Verschwinden von Traditionen und eine Sensibilität, die die Natur als vom Menschen unabhängige Einheit betrachtet. In der Gegenüberstellung von ländlichem und städtischem Leben wird jedoch die Natur nicht idyllisch verklärt - sie ist vielmehr bestimmt von Einsamkeit, Überlebenskampf und Sterben. Sein literarisches Werk, das auch als poetische Reflexion über die Einsamkeit gelesen werden kann, hat Julio Llamazares zu einem herausragenden Vertreter der jüngeren Schriftsteller-Generation im postfranquistischen Spanien gemacht.

La presente exposición y los textos que la acompañan proceden de un proyecto de investigación-creación desarrollado por Mariana Dicker, María Alejandra Fajardo, Elkin Rubiano y Javier Gil. Esta exploración pretende pensar las relaciones entre creación artística y memoria a partir de la producción artística de Beatriz González de los últimos 20 años. Consideramos que las imágenes toman posición frente a lo real; no representan lo dado o lo sucedido, sino que lo crean y dimensionan desde sus particulares modos de pensar. Tampoco aspiran a explicaciones totalizantes; significan a través de momentos, fragmentos, detalles y relaciones inéditas. Lo visual toca lo real sin aspirar a verdades absolutas y cerradas, pero desde sus singularidades expresivas renueva la percepción y la comprensión del mundo. En ese contexto, consideramos que el trabajo de Beatriz González construye memoria, asumiendo que esta no se refiere a dar cuenta de hechos objetivos ocurridos en el pasado, sino como una construcción simbólica, un trabajo, una nueva dimensión de sentido vinculada a la creación artística. Sus obras confirman las posibilidades que tienen el arte de participar en la generación de otras historias, de hacer hablar el pasado de otro modo, de expresar lo inexpresado por la historia oficial.

La Segunda Guerra Mundial en Japón fue un evento único y transformador que implicó la reconstrucción física y espiritual del país. El paisaje —como categoría estética— y la memoria —como una entidad colectiva— son conceptos que permiten auscultar a los pueblos luego de crisis históricas profundas. En este sentido, la presente publicación examina las principales corrientes del cine japonés a partir de una lectura y análisis histórico y estético, e innova en la lectura de las sociedades poscrisis al incorporar una visión interdisciplinaria original. “No hay nación cuyo sentido del tiempo y del espacio se mantengan invariables después de una catástrofe fundamental. El cine de posguerra de Japón, a través del desarrollo estético de sus identidades espaciales y temporales, conjuga poéticamente las nociones de trauma, origen e identidad. Los minuciosos escritos que reúne este libro analizan ese corpus fílmico en torno a los conceptos de memoria y paisaje, pero no solo como tipificación de argumentos, elementos de drama o iconografías, sino especialmente como ideas audiovisuales de la conciencia moderna en crisis, forma que desde occidente o desde nuestra periferia contemplamos con una extrañeza familiar”. Años más tarde, el pasado revela un lado luminoso y conocido, pero también uno oscuro y misterioso, como la intermitencia de un faro con el que se intenta alumbrar los hechos ocurridos. Esta novela, escrita con una prosa limpia y emotiva, ganó el primer premio de los Juegos Literarios Gabriela Mistral el año 2019.

This book is an initiative of the Regional Groups of Historical Memory (GRMH), which, together with the National Center for Historical Memory since 2013, generated proposals for the construction of historical memory in Colombia. The objective of the consolidation of the GRMH has been to recognize local research processes carried out by university professors to build bridges between the country's institutions and communities victimized in the framework of the internal armed conflict in Colombia. Although the participatory social research bets are nourished by multiple edges, disciplines, and schools of thought, there are methodological peculiarities in the investigations that are formulated in the key of historical memory that, on this occasion, are transversal and are deepened in each chapter.
