by Yogananda

This Volume 9 at this time, when we are passing through great trials and tribulations, offers a book filled with the words of a spiritual master, who had foreseen just the issues we are facing. It is a godsend. During his lectures, Paramhansa Yogananda—the great master of yoga and author of the classic Autobiography of a Yogi—often spoke of difficult times ahead for the world and mankind. Yogananda made specific predictions of what would take place in various corners of the planet, and he also offered advice on how people, and especially spiritual seekers, could face these challenges and thrive through them.
A must for all spiritual seekers, both beginners and advanced, which collects the precious teachings on meditation of Paramhansa Yogananda. The book presents the ancient Hong So meditation technique, brought to the West by Yogananda and taught by his direct disciple Swami Kriyananda. This handbook is divided into three parts. The first describes the basic technique for everyone and teaches how to practice it successfully. The second helps to deepen meditation in seven weeks, learning to practice yogic attitudes during daily life. The third is dedicated to the attainment of the highest goal: Self-realization, what it means and how to achieve it.
In his classic Autobiography of a Yogi, the great spiritual master Paramhansa Yogananda introduced the world to an exalted meditation technique: Kriya Yoga. Yogananda came as a way-shower to bring civilization into a new era of greater enlightenment. He said, "You are on the eve of a great spiritual awakening, where true souls will be drawn to experience God's presence." We are witnessing the dawn of that awakening-our current challenges are its harbingers: The birth pangs of a higher age. And Kriya Yoga is the inner guide that will ultimately lead us through the chaos and into the light.
The book "Yogoda" presents the Energization Exercises of Paramhansa Yogananda. It teaches to feel and control the energy flow (prana) in the body. When prana is increased and distributed evenly in the body, health is obtained. Prana (life force, energy) is the primary healer of our body. A positive and strong flow of energy also has a very positive impact on a psychological level, making us happier people. And on a spiritual level, the inner work with energy also opens up our consciousness to a subtler reality than solid matter. We develop spiritual consciousness. In other words, the Energization Exercises, also called Yogoda, have a notable effect on our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The book first offers a detailed explanation of what prana exactly is, and what its role is in our present society. It then teaches how to perceive energy, and how to practice the Energization Exercises correctly, as Yogananda taught them. They are, in fact, Yogananda's contribution to the world of yoga, and to the world of healing.
Structured as a practical A-Z workbook, this precious volume offers on one hand a deep analysis of human feelings and emotions (from Acceptance to Vulnerability, passing through Friendship, Courage, Joy, Doubt, Freedom, Forgiveness, Fear…), on the other hand the yoga remedy with asanas, affirmations and inspiring thoughts by Paramhansa Yogananda.
Volume Two of an unparalleled firsthand account of one of the world's most widely known and respected spiritual masters and his teachings, recorded by one of his closest students, as the Master had asked him to do. Kriyananda was often present when Yogananda spoke with close disciples; when he received visitors and answered their questions; and when he dictated and discussed his important writings.
