This book is illustrated by artworks created after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Each of the women who contributed to this book — the translator, illustrators, editors, the layout designer and the publisher — felt a personal connection with the nameless protagonists, finding something within the stories that resonated deeply with them.
