Each cartoon is accompanied by an explanation and a series of reflective and thought-provoking questions to be used in classrooms, staff rooms and around the family table to encourage deeper, reflective and more meaningful conversations. In addition, there are 11 generic questions based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of the Cognitive Domain for each of the 25 cartoons. In general, all of the cartoons and questions can be used as ice-breakers and debating points for school classrooms, staff rooms, the corporate world and for family discussion. To discourage enthusiastic and stronger personalities from dominating these discussions, it is suggested that a Think:Pair:Share strategy be used to allow all involved to think on their own (Think: 30-90 seconds or more), before they discuss their initial ideas with a partner (Pair: another 30-90 seconds), followed by pairs being invited to let others know what they had discussed (Share: as long as the facilitator feels is appropriate).
