How many books will be in the Bregdan Chronicles? No one knows yet… Ginny intends to write these character's stories, one year at a time, for as long as she is able to write. She is passionate about bringing history to life through historical fiction. Since she is amazingly healthy, that could be for a very long time! She doesn’t like stories to end any more than you do. This one won't end for a very long time!
Readers love series. Historical fiction fans especially love sagas that stretch across time.
The books within the Bregdan Chronicles have all been released as Best Sellers on Amazon, and currently have close to 8000 four and five star reviews.
Right now, there are fourteen books in this series, but many more are coming. I am committed to releasing at least two books a year.
There will be at least twenty titles in the Bregdan Chronicles. When I have covered the time period from 1860 – 1878, the series will pick up again in 1915 – with the series title, The Bregdan Saga – that will continue with 10+ books through the mid 1920’s with descendants of the Bregdan characters.
It will continue again in the 1950’s through the series title, The Bregdan Sequel.
My readers are incredibly loyal. I have over 100,000 in my social media accounts, and close to 20,000 on my email list that I communicate with on a bi-weekly basis.
Review: I thought this series could not get any better after the last book but I was wrong. This book was so awesome. I just love the characters and of course the settings. I feel so connected with the characters. Almost as though they are real people gong through real issues. They seem so alive. Not to mention the historical part. My heart still hurts after the loss of Robert and watching Carrie still struggling with it. l love how the book is taking her through the healing process. I just can't wait for the next book to come out and hope it will be really soon. I don't want to give away any part of the book but I will say that it is awesome to watch people from all different walks in life and beliefs find a way to work together to try and make the country even a little better. I learned a lot about the Indians and what was happening to them after the civil war. I am ashamed to be a white person even more than before I read this book. I have always had a love and interest in the American Indian. I love learning their history so this book taught me even more about them. All they wanted was to live on their land. Land that their gods gave them and to live in peace. I really believe everyone should get this book and read it. If you haven't read the books before this one, I would highly suggest you start with the first book and follow this family through the civil war and now after it. Read and learn about the struggles people on both sides had to go through to join forces in the fight for justice for all no matter their race, religion, sex, or political views. Ginny--keep up the good work and keep the books coming!!
Review: I just finished this book, #10 in The Bregdan Chronicles. Once again, I was struck by how much research Ginny Dye had to do in order to write this book. As with all of her books, the history is more interesting because instead of being in 'history book' form, the characters have conversations about what is going on around them. I have followed Carrie Cromwell Borden since book #1 and have watched her go through many, many changes. The beloved characters in this book are going through changes themselves and we watch as they separate and go about their lives...for a time. Even though the war is over, the south is a VERY dangerous place to be for blacks and others as well. I won't give away any more of the book..but if you have not read it, I urge you to do so. Once again, Ginny Dye has created a magnificent book.
Ginny would love to get to know every single person who reads her books. Since that isn't possible she can at least let you get to know her a little.
Born in North Carolina, she is a wanderer at heart. She has lived all over the United States, exploring every state and having wonderful adventures along the way.
She has managed horse ranches in Texas and Oregon; worked with teenagers all over the country (she loves them!), and has hiked, biked, rafted and played in every locale she could.
She loves all the beaches, deserts, woods, and mountains she has traveled through but when she discovered Washington, she discovered home. Her heart is at home there with the snow covered mountains; the glistening waters of the Pacific; the eagles and Orca whales; the towering fir trees surrounding her home; and the miles of trails on her own Magic Mountain.
Everywhere she looks inspires her to be all she can be - to follow and achieve all the dreams of her heart! She has managed to write and publish 50 books along the way. She enjoys writing many different genres but admits Historical Fiction is her favorite.
She is quite sure she will never live long enough to write all her heart and mind holds, but she certainly intends to try!
She is also the Founder of Millions For Positive Change. This fabulous organization is committed to creating a world-wide community of people with a passion to make a difference and live their best life - using the multitude of FREE resources provided.
Her life will forever be a journey. She knows she will never get to the place where she thinks she has "arrived". The more she learns - the more she knows she doesn't know! Yet. what joy she receives by sharing the light she has...
