Han Lu, once the queen of solo skiing sport, had won every domestic and international award except the Olympic gold,but cut short of her Grand Slam career due to a terrible injury from attempting a high-risk maneuver. With her career already in its twilight and the injury proving difficult to overcome, she found herself on the brink of retirement, which was almost a fatal blow for someone who had always stood atop the podium of glory.
