Author Biography
Marina was born on a snowy October day in Siberia. She came to Germany at the age of 18 and fell in love with the German language. Today she lives in Böbingen with her husband and child.
She writes poetry and prose fiction. Her poems have been published in various poetry collections, anthologies and literary magazines. Marina loves life, is addicted to beautiful new notebooks and always buys more of them than she needs. Then she types most of her poems and texts into the digital notebook in her mobile phone... She prefers to write in cafés, on moving trains, at home sitting on the floor or in bed. So pretty much anywhere - except at her desk.
Jennifer has been writing since she can remember and started publishing in 2014, motivated by a distance writing course.
She comes from the Hunsrück region and is a state-certified educator. After successfully discontinuing her studies in German and education, the village punk spent three years in San Francisco with her husband. With her philosophical-poetic novella "Tage wie Türkis" (Days like Turquoise), she made a name for herself as Frau Türkis. She collects chewing gum in packets, snow in glass balls and house entrances on photographic paper. She has lived in Mainz with her husband and three children since 2017.
