Author Biography
Ingeborg Menzler-Hokkanen is a university researcher at the Department of Environmental and Biological Sciences, University of Eastern Finland. Previously she worked over 20 years as researcher at the Department of Agricultural Sciences, University of Helsinki. She has MSc-degree in agricultural economics from Göttingen University, Germany; MSc-degree in agricultural economics from Cornell University, USA; and a PhD from the Helsinki School of Economics. After a solid research and publication record within economics, she has focused on the socioeconomic and ecological aspects of plant biotechnology, and of pest and pollinator management.; ; Heikki Hokkanen is a visiting research professor at the University of Eastern Finland, and professor Emeritus of agricultural zoology at the University of Helsinki.
