by Karl Schmitt
Description
This workshop provides the opportunity to acquire basic skills using simple, practical examples. Emphasis is placed on reuse of program modules. Solutions to the exercises can be tried out with STEP7 (V12 or higher) on the TIA portal and with the PLC simulator PLCSIM version V12 or higher. System simulation can be run if WinCC Advanced is installed. The book is targeted at PLC programmers as well as pupils and students who want to learn SCL programming using the TIA portal. A basic knowledge of PLC design and functionality is helpful but not absolutely necessary. A free app available from the IOS Store and Google Play can used to assess learning progress.
