The potentially deadly kidney disease is diagnosed when Marion Petznick is only two years old. When the disease gets so worse that a dialysis becomes inevitable, she decides for a less common healing dialysis called the ‘peritoneal dialyses’. She reports about her experiences with the center of dialysis and weighs the pros and cons of the different procedures. After the fall of the Berlin wall she can travel wherever she wants and implements it in spite of the dialysis. She is lucky and receives a new kidney through transplantation.
