I'm not weird
by Miguel Alayrach and Marta Ribes
Description
Pablito’s mum has to urgently go the hospital and the only person who can take care of Pablio for a few hours is their next door neighbour. Although the neighbour is very kind and suggests a lot of different activities, Pablito doesn’t enjoy any of them…is Pablito different from other children?
It is a story that wants to break stereotypes and enhance personality and individual character in opposition of the social alienation we live in.
It also deals with a subtle way how the language used by the adult can affect the perception and sensitivity of a child.
A story for all those children in the world who on any given day, decide to become extraordinary.

Grandfather has had an accident and the family must go to the hospital to see how he is. Consequently, Pablito must stay for a few hours at his neighbor's house, who will try by all means to keep him entertained. But, despite the fact that he has tried all the games and activities that he believes are most appropriate for his age, the little boy proves to have a great personality, and reaffirms himself in other types of hobbies with which he usually fills his moments. of leisure. A simple but effective story to strengthen children's feelings and emotions, which outlines a fundamental idea: not following the general trend will never turn you into a strange person. It is interesting that, without didacticism or morals, an illustrated book confronts this typology of everyday "conflicts" that, without a doubt, will help many young readers to strengthen themselves in their ideas and hobbies and, just as important, to reaffirm the use of their imagination. as a crucial tool in childhood to be happy.
