Melody “Lark” Larkness wants one thing and one thing only—to survive. A neglected child and a broken adult, Lark has learned to keep her head down and do what it takes to keep going. Stripping for a living is hardly the step forward in life, but it brings in cash along with the dodgy characters. She has no friends and family to speak of, none that she has allowed to stay around—until Starlight. A club like no other. Dark-haired, sweet-faced and soft-spoken, Romeo is unlike any man she’s met. He seems to want nothing from her—other than friendship. But his searching eyes and pink-tinged ears tell a different story.
