A golem in the middle of the city on a bright day – Fahrat cannot believe his eyes. Normal people cannot see the loamy being, but even for the young Schwertler (swordler) this is an unsettling view. Even though he usually prefers a good wine over any adventure, he follows the monster and meets Ava. The young woman is obviously a common human. Nevertheless, she claims distracted that a black angel stole her newborn twins. But what would Morton, vice chancellor of the city council and operator of the coven, do with two human children? Are these incidents connected to the dread that lurks outside the city? Fahrat’s good nature and his Schwertler/(swordler)pride keep him at Ava’s site. But soon he does not know who is experiencing a new world – whether it is Ava, who meets swearing witches, LKW/Chimären (truck/chimaeras) and lurking Waldwürger (forrestchokers) during her search of her children – or whether it is Fahrat, whose world does not seem to be the world he always thought it was.
