Author Biography
Chiara Zampetti Egidi is a consultant and author specialized in the art market. She lived in London from the end of the 1990s to 2010. At The Art Loss Register, she conducted provenance research to recover stolen, looted, and illicitly exported works of art (2000-2002). Since 2004 she has advised private and institutional clients on art-related projects. From 2005 to 2008 she taught for the Master in Art Business course at Sotheby's Institute of Art, London. After a degree in Art History from the University of Florence, Italy, and a year of research at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, she obtained a Master in Arts Management from Birkbeck College, University of London. Her articles are published by Il Sole 24 Ore, The Art Newspaper, Art in America, and Vogue, among others. She is based in Berlin.
