Founded in 1990, JIELI Publishing House is a publishing organization specializing in children and adolescence literature. Up till now, JIELI has set up three branch offices including Preschool, Middle Grade and Young Adult branches, with an average of nearly 500 varieties of books published annually. In 2019, the total shipments of JIELI amounted to RMB 883 million, with a year-on-year growth of 9.83%.

In respect of original works, picture book Don’t Jump the Rope with a Frog, The Turtle Family Goes to the Sea and The Moose of Ewenki, were consecutively selected in 2016, 2018 and 2020 IBBY Honor List. In addition, The Turtle Family Goes to the Sea won the 5th Feng Zikai Picture Book Award. The copyrights have been sold to Vietnam, Sweden, Russia and Arabic countries. Bird in the Cloud has won the Brastislava International Biennial (BIB) Golden Apple Award and the copyright has been sold to Sweden, Turkey, Japan, Australia, Britain, Russia, Arabic countries, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. In addition, The Turtle Family Goes to the Sea written by Zhang Ning, Sparrow written by Man Tao and Hu Jiayue’s One Sister and Two Brothers were successfully selected for the Sharjah International Illustration Exhibition of United Arab Emirates in April, 2017. Little Surprise Series written by Xiao Mao and Gong Ruping is also very popular and the copyright has been sold to Vietnam, Malaysia, Arabic countries, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. The Moose of Ewenki, a fabulous work by Peng Yi and Jiu’er, welcomed by readers in Canada, France, Korea, Germany and Sweden.
