Literature Promotion Grants to promote abroad Catalan literature (fiction, non-fiction, children’s and YA books, poetry, theatre and graphic novels), including participation in international literary festivals and presentations and promotional plans for works in translation. Recipients: Publishers, Literary Events Organizers. Illustrated Books Grants for the publication abroad of illustrated books by illustrators settled in Catalonia or the Balearic Islands. Recipients: Publishers. Samples & Booklets Grants to translate samples of works written in Catalan to produce booklets for promotional purposes. Recipients: Catalan Publishers, Literary Agencies. Translators in Residency Grants for translators working on translations from Catalan to stay from two to six weeks in Catalonia. Recipients: Translators. Travel for Writers and Illustrators Grants for writers and illustrators to finance travel costs to carry out literary activities, to which they have been invited. Recipients: Writers in Catalan and illustrators with at least two books originally published in Catalan.

A Story Inside Books
A Story Inside Books was formed when Book Coach to Best Sellers® Kim O'Hara launched client Allen Maxwell's book to #3 on the Wall Street Journal Best Business books in July 2020. She saw that her clients who self-publish need an avenue to sell foreign rights. She also saw her clients who wanted traditional publishing needing an extra forum to present their content. As a book coach, she has worked individually with each client for over a year on navigating their books to best sellers. She is now proud to present each special and unique titile at this marketplace.

One of our main goals is the consolidation of the Balearic Islands as a structured cultural market, the promotion of the islands' music, performing arts, literature and visual arts by means of grants, international actions and formative seminars in cultural affairs. The Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics coordinates, alone or in partnership with other departments of the Government of the Balearic Islands, the Institut Ramon Llull or the Institut Català d'Empreses Culturals, the institutional presence of the Balearic Islands in strategic events for the promotion of our culture overseas. Every year, our area of literature, thought, comics and illustration calls for grants to cover travelling and accommodation expenses of Balearic authors, and expenses for publishing books and producing promotional material for Balearic authors. Pinter & Martin was founded on May 9th, 1997 by the writer and film-maker Martin Wagner and childbirth educator Maria Pinter, when we realised that Stanley Milgram's extraordinary book Obedience to Authority was out of print in the UK. Jill Marshall Books
Jill Marshall is the author of the popular middle-grade series about Sensational Spylet, Jane Blonde, and many other titles and series for tweens, teens, YA and adult. Jill’s books have been published by Macmillan Children’s Books, Penguin and Hachette, in 22 countries, 11 languages and paperback, ebook and audio formats. Jane Blonde has been optioned for film and TV, with significant film interest in other Jill Marshall titles. Jill has also been an editor and manuscript assessor for trade publishers and societies, a creative writing teacher for over 1000 clients, and works in corporate communications. During lockdown in 2020, and with all rights for all titles successfully re-acquired, Marshall fulfilled two long-term ambitions. The first – to create an independent publishing house of her own titles, rebranded and re-imagined for a digital world. The second – to pull together Jane Blonde and three other ‘superhero’ characters, all with their own origin series, into an ensemble series, S*W*A*G*G (swaggbooks.com). The third ambition was one that she couldn’t have foreseen: the wish to provide quality fiction for tween readers and upwards, in readily accessible digital formats and for free, in a world ravaged by a global pandemic. In May 2020, Jill Marshall Books was born, and all three ambitions met. JMB has gathered momentum and fandom during those months, and it’s now time to partner with like-minded book people – innovative, passionate, caring – to extend the reach of JMB titles across formats, locations and media.
