Victorina Press was created by  Consuelo Rivera-Fuentes, a Chilean-British writer and academic. We are therefore rooted strongly in Chilean and British cultures. Our mission is to publish inspirational, quality books in the spirit of bibliodiversity, a concept developed by a group of Chilean independent publishers — Editores independientes de Chile. It encourages the celebration of a variety of voices from all over the world and prevents our publishing world from being a monolithic culture. Everyone has a story to tell. We want to be the ones to tell it. Consuelo’s Latin American roots play a huge role in our publishing today, with many of our books being translated into Spanish as stand alone or bilingual publications. Publishing everything from hard-hitting, inspirational memoirs, thrilling YA dystopias, gripping historical fiction, fun early learning, colourful, exciting children's books, literature for the classic shelf, and poetry to entice you, there is one book for every genre!

        Permanent Residency

        by Serhiy Zhadan, Pavlo Makov

Permanent Residency is an art book by two Kharkiv authors, poet Serhiy Zhadan and artist Pavlo Makov. It is an attempt to review the last 27 years of their presence in Kharkiv through the optics of their works. The book combines two views, two generations, and two different artistic languages . The publication contains graphic works and poems selected by Pavlo Makov and Serhiy Zhadan independently during the creation of the artbook. The works are organized in a reversed order. They do not comment on each other; poems do not describe graphic works, and graphic works do not illustrate poems. This allows a reader/viewer to become a third participant in the process of discovering common meanings.

The Wild West of Eastern Europe

        by Pavlo Kazarin

«The Wild West of Eastern Europe» is a travel notes collection of a man who left his home to stay at home. It is an Author's chronology of the modern history of Ukraine. An attempt to sum up everything that has changed us and what has remained the same. The war plunged Ukraine into a debate about itself. We are trying to understand where THEY end and where WE start. We are finding out if it is possible to fool historical logic, putting someone on a pedestal. «The Wild West of Eastern Europe» is an attempt to systematize everything we argue about and everything we have agreed on. This book was born of occupation and war. And therefore the Author hopes for no more «to be continued».

Sir Philip Sidney: The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia

The New Arcadia, Second Revised Edition

by Victor Skretkowicz, Elisabeth Chaghafi, J. B. Lethbridge

Shipwrecks, gory battle scenes, cross-dressing, toxic relationships, abduction, torture (psychological and physical), comical country bumpkins, and, of course, love and poetry -Sir Philip Sidney's witty pastoral romance The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia is the classic that has it all in terms of entertainment factors. Modern readers mostly know Arcadia in its complete 'old' version, but it is the New Arcadia (published in 1590) that was the most influential and most widely imitated literary text of the sixteenth century. While preserving the basic plot - a ruler attempts to escape an alarming oracle by moving his family to the countryside and engaging in shepherd-cosplay until the arrival of two foreign princes triggers a chain of events leading to the fulfilment of the oracle - this version adds further narrative strands and introduces ambitious revisions that showcase Sidney's stylistic brilliance as a prose writer.

Bridges Instead of Walls, or What Unites Ukrainians?

        by Tetiana Teren

In this collection of essays, twenty Ukrainian intellectuals reflect on the phenomenon of social bridges and walls. Why do they both exist? Do bridges always bring understanding? Or do they perhaps sometimes allow crossing boundaries? Do walls necessarily separate? Or do they occasionally protect? With whom and how should we build bridges, and from whom shall we isolate by walls? The result of the media project of the Ukrainian branch of the International PEN Club, published in the New Time publication, is now under one cover. On the pages of the book, you will find essays by the following authors: Kateryna Kalytko, Kateryna Botanova, Vakhtang Kebuladze, Zoya Kazanzhy, Ostap Slyvinskyi, Olena Stiazhkina, Larysa Denysenko, Myroslava Barchuk, Viktoriya Amelina, Vitaliy Ponomariov, Vasyl Makhno, Volodymyr Rafeenko, Mykola Riabchuk, Volodymyr Yermolenko, Svitlana Pyrkalo, Borys Gudziak, Ihor Isichenko, Halyna Vdovychenko, Pavlo Kazarin, Vitaliy Portnykov. Compiled by Tetiana Teren. Foreword by Andriy Kurkov.

Victor Hugo und die Versuchung des Unmöglichen

by Mario Vargas Llosa, Angelica Ammar

by Victor Hugo, Annette Seemann, Hermann Mildenberger, Annette Seemann
