        Mi chiamo Nako

by Guia Risari, Paolo D’Altan (illustrator)

The book is a small masterpiece of literary and figurative art. The drawings, realized by Paolo D’Altan, a true master of illustration, and the text, poetic, scratchy and delicate at the same time, make the story of Nako - a Roma child - a story on which young and old can confront each other on worlds other than their own. Worlds more judged than really known. What Nako says highlights the dreams and sufferings of those who experience distances and exclusion every day, but at the same time opens the curtain on ancient traditions, languages and hopes. For those who believe in authentic life and the value of differences, the book is a social and cultural adventure to live.

      • Praticare e raccontare i santi segni

        by Franco Giulio, Brambilla

In 1927 Romano Guardini wrote a precious little book on The Holy Signs, with pages of incomparable depth. Franco Giulio Brambilla, a well-known theologian and pastor, takes up and revisits the theme in a current and captivating language. The liturgical signs are here characterized by their prevailing trait: bodily signs (standing, kneeling, beating one’s chest, raising and imposing hands), creatural signs (water, light/fire, oil, bread and wine) and ritual signs (candle, ash, incense, robes, bells). The result is a surprising journey that renews these symbols to hand over the fire of existence to the new generations.

        Come ali di gabbiano

by Lorenza Farina, Anna Pedron (illustrator)

One day Anne Frank meets a friend dressed in a red and white plaid dress. It is love at first sight. Anna confides to him what will happen to her in the two years of forced segregation lived in the secret quarters to escape the Nazi raids. He will be of great comfort to her, he knows how to dry her tears and keep her secrets. He will fly high as a seagull over all forms of violence, making the world aware of the message of peace that his young friend has engraved on his white wings. Anna is certain that no one will ever tear those wings and the words that are written on them. This desire will come true, making it a symbol of the Shoah and of a humanity trampled and vilified, thanks to her living witness today more than ever. To those who have not yet read the famous Diary, this story in images and words is an invitation to learn more through a new original point of view.
