Hari Kunzru
by Kristian Shaw, Sara Upstone
This book is the first edited collection to focus on the work of contemporary author Hari Kunzru. It contains major new essays on each of his novels - The Impressionist, Transmission, My Revolutions, Gods Without Men, White Tears and Red Pill - as well as his short fiction and non-fiction writings. The collection situates Kunzru's work within current debates regarding postmodernism, postcolonialism, and post-postmodernism, and examines how Kunzru's work is central to major thematic concerns of contemporary writing including whiteness, national identity, Britishness, cosmopolitanism, music, space, memory, art practice, trauma, Brexit, immigration, covid-19, and populist politics. The book engages with current debates regarding the politics of publishing of ethnic writers, examining how Kunzru has managed to shape a career in resistance of narrow labelling where many other writers have struggled to achieve long-term recognition.

Prosa
by Bertolt Brecht

by Hadassa Ashdot
Spies
Mata Hari and other women in secret mission
by Hagen Kunze
Mata Hari is still an example of many women who have chosen to live a life full of danger and mystery. The 100th death anniversary of the probably most famous spy of all times in October 2017 and the opening of the files around her espionage activity, were the occasion for this exciting book project. Author Hagen Kunze not only introduces Margaretha Geertruida cell alias Mata Hari, but also eleven other spies and their gripping life portraits. Twelve women, whose life stories could not be more different, some of whom put themselves into the service of the fatherland out of conviction, others simply for money or love, including Belle Boyd, Josephine Baker, Elisabeth Schragmuller, Benita von Falkenhayn, Hilde Kruger, Helene Barczatis, Ethel Rosenberg or Ursula Kuczynski alias Ruth Werner. This gripping book is entirely dedicated to the female side of espionage and searches for the motives of these women for their play with fire. Some have paid dearly with their lives, others remained undisturbed until old age. In any case, these women are worth having their stories told and not forgotten.

Graphic Lives - Hari
by Jo Browning Wroe, Carol Holliday
Graphic Lives is a series of highly engaging graphic novels for young people who may need counselling and psychotherapy. Each book introduces the difficulties faced by a teenage character and follows them as they travel on their therapeutic journey with a skilled and creative therapist. The key aims of these books are: to demystify counselling and psychotherapy so that it is more appealing and accessible to young people; to destigmatise emotional and mental health problems so that young people are better able to accept help; to encourage young people to embark upon their own healing journeys, equipped with the sense that there is a way forward. As fifteen year-old Hari approaches his mock-GCSEs, he begins to experience anxiety attacks aggravated by his fears of failure to meet his own and his family's expectations. When intermittent feigned illness escalates to the point where he runs out of an exam and hides in a cupboard, Hari agrees to see Steph, the school counsellor. Together they explore ways for Hari to manage his own anxiety and be less critical of himself.
