El KETER: el Códice de Alepo por Amnon Shamosh El códice de Alepo (el término hebreo "Keter", cuyo significado literal es "corona", simboliza un códice de la Biblia, a diferencia de un rollo manuscrito) es el primer manuscrito conocido que incluye el texto completo de la Biblia. Sin lugar a dudas se trata del documento de origen sagrado más fidedigno y preciso, por su texto bíblico y por su vocalización, cantilación bíblica, y "Massorah" (literalmente "transmisión" de la Biblia, la tradición oral y escrita gracias a la cual las escrituras sagradas se han preservado y transmitido de generación en generación). Como tal, el códice de Alepo ha logrado una posición de preeminencia entre los manuscritos hebraicos y judaicos y es de gran trascendencia religiosa y erudita, más que cualquier otro manuscrito de la Biblia. Una antigua tradición confiere al códice un aura única de autoridad, reverencia y santidad y sostiene que Maimónides lo consultó al establecer las reglas exactas para escribir manuscritos de la Torá (esto se deduce de su comentario: "lo he utilizado como base para el ejemplar del 'Sefer Torá', que escribí según la ley"). Los rabinos y ancianos de la comunidad de Aleppo protegieron celosamente el códice durante unos seiscientos años. La desgracia (si no el trauma) que representó su pérdida durante los disturbios antijudíos en Alepo en 1947, cuando la sinagoga local fue incendiada, se tornó en alegría y alivio al ser redescubierto (aunque no completo) gracias a intensivos y espectaculares esfuerzos de rescate y finalmente fue traído a Jerusalén. Amnon Shamosh nació en Siria en 1929, inmigró a Tel Aviv de niño y llegó a ser posteriormente uno de los miembros fundadores de Kibutz Ma'ayan Baruj, donde reside hasta la fecha. Se graduó en la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalén y ha escrito tanto poesía como prosa para niños y adultos. Sus obras se han traducido al inglés, al español y al francés y una de sus novelas fue llevada a la televisión en forma de miniserie. Amnon Shamosh ha sido galardonado con el Premio "Agnón" denominado en honor del célebre Premio Nóbel de Literatura israelí, el Premio "Shalom-Aleijem", el Premio del Primer Ministro a la Creatividad, el Premio de Literatura del Presidente de Israel y otros numerosos premios literarios.

Descubrir el lado o el rostro femenino de la Biblia es necesario, pero no es fácil hacerlo equilibradamente. Existen feminismos «reactivos», agresivos y feminismos «reaccionarios», anclados en el tradicionalismo. Estas páginas pretenden invitar a releer las historias de mujeres bíblicas, descubriendo no solo al personaje, sino también el mensaje y el paisaje, con sus ambigüedades, con sus luces y sus sombras. En el año 1402 Lorenzo Suárez de Figueroa, XXXII Maestre de la Orden de Santiago, encargó a su médico, Jacobo Zadique de Uclés, traducir una colección de sentencias que tituló simplemente Dichos de sabios. Esta obra, compuesta por un prólogo y siete capítulos temáticos, ofrece un largo listado de sentencias sacadas de autores clásicos (como Séneca, Aristóteles, Cicerón, Valero Máximo, etc.), de citas de la Biblia y una cantidad importante de refranes. Conservada en cinco manuscritos, la obra tuvo una difusión considerable en los siglos XV y XVI; sin embargo, ha permanecido inédita hasta nuestros días. La presente edición ofrece por primera vez un texto crítico y un extenso estudio que explica el contexto de producción de la obra y aclara problemas referentes a su fecha de escritura, elaboración, patronazgo y fuentes. Los Dichos de sabios son una pieza fundamental para comprender el ideario político de Enrique III y el entorno literario del Rimado de palacio de Pero López de Ayala.

Sin embargo, su importancia en el Nuevo Testamento es incuestionable. Jesús le dedica el mayor halago que persona alguna haya recibido: "Les aseguro que, entre los nacidos de mujer, no ha aparecido uno mayor que Juan el Bautista…" (Mt 11,11); y el historiador Flavio Josefo emplea más espacio en el Bautista que en el propio Jesús. Pero, ¿quién fue verdaderamente Juan? ¿Fueron él y Jesús primos, como popularmente se dice, o solo parientes, como expresamente indica el evangelio de Lucas (1,36)? ¿Por qué se dejó bautizar Jesús por Juan con "un bautismo para el perdón de los pecados" (Mc 1,4) si él no tenía pecado? El presente estudio aborda estas y muchas otras interrogantes de carácter histórico pero también teológico sobre Juan Bautista, todavía hoy venerado en numerosos templos y liturgias alrededor del mundo como "el amigo del novio" (Jn 3,29). Despite the frequency with which many people listen to the mention of John the Baptist in liturgies and other celebrations, his figure remains largely unknown or proves enigmatic. Nevertheless, his importance in the New Testament is unquestionable. Jesus dedicates to him the highest praise anyone has ever been given: “Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist…” (Matthew 11:11); and the historian Flavius Josephus dedicates more space in the Baptist than in Jesus himself. But who really was John? Were he and Jesus cousins, as it is popularly said, or just relatives, as the Gospel of Luke 1:36) clearly states? Why did Jesus allow himself to be baptised by John with “a baptism for the forgiveness of sins” (Mark 1:4) if he was free from sin?
Once upon a time… the Tell universe, a universe that is presented to us in multiple intertwined dimensions, and in which the characters intersect in paths of thought and action. Lorenzo Aillapán, recognized as a Living Human Treasure in 2012 by UNESCO, is the Mapuche bird man - üñümche in Mapuzugun. A poet originally from the coast of the Araucanía Region, he is a great connoisseur of nature, of the mysteries hidden by living beings on land and in the sea. Part of this wisdom is shared with the readers in these 46 poems about diverse organisms that inhabit different environments: the water (fish and seafood), the mountainous universe (trees) and the winged universe (birds). Through hisverses, the poet describes various aspects of these living beings: what they are like, what the place is like where they live, how they behave, what use they can be put to and what importance they have for the Mapuche people. In the case of the birds, the poems also incorporate the onomatopoeia of their song. This complete anthological volume is bilingual Mapuzugun/Spanish.
