There is in this book the stinking smell of phosphorus coming from the air, the evocation of the panoptic gaze of the imperial planes that cross the sky in a few seconds over the roofs of miserable villages and towns. There is the voice of the poets who wonder when the unjust will end and what should never have begun, and along with that voice that of the political leaders who rewrite the dictated word to enunciate it in a justifiable key of extermination, also the voice of the founding fathers of the Jewish State and of those who warned, in the face of the evidence of the first outrages, the sure possibility of a collapse of the ideals of ethics and justice.
