        Chang Yu figure painting

        by Chang Yu

In the modern Chinese painting circle, Chang Yu is a leader, once alternately refreshing the Chinese oil painting auction record. Painter Chang Yu has had ups and downs throughout her life, and insists on going her own way in art. He is recognized in the West as a world-class painter, a Chinese Modigliani, a painter who creates freely for his artistic beliefs and makes remarkable achievements. Chang Yu turned from the most familiar Chinese art to another brand new western art field, and constantly explored and pursued on the basis of Chinese painting, finally achieving Chang Yu's special painting style of simplicity and fluency. Chang Yu is an indelible Oriental pearl. Few books of Chang Yu are published in China. We popularize such art and publicize Chang Yu's achievements in the history of Chinese art in the 20th century. The series consists of 3 books. This book is a collection of Chang Yu's figure painting works, which contains more than 60 of his important and iconic figure works. Chang Yu's female body works are different from the expression Angle of nude paintings, and he uses the whole body outline of a naked woman to express the scenery in his mind. There are not many slim naked women in Chang Yu's works, but mostly plump and fat women. Quite the author "do not talk to people, alone in the dark" self-pity mode.

In the painting, there is only a small animal like a drop in the ocean in the boundless empty sky. All the viewers can feel the loneliness and sorrow of this stranger in his old age.

        Islas de calor (Heat islands)

        by Malu Furche

The climate crisis is out of control. Rising temperatures transform societies and force a radical change in life. The water is a treasure, the shadow a salvation, the night the new day and the day a space forbidden by the touch of military rest. A phenomenon within this chaotic world are the points where buildings and concrete capture heat and prevent its release. These “heat islands”, like the accounts in this book, contain the abandonment and incommunication of those who suffer, the attempts of the population to refresh themselves in any way or the exploitation of the unsalted to survive. As parts of the city rearrange in this hell, a spontaneous fire consumes the hill to the height of the Virgin, unleashing some kind of superstition.

La hermandad de la Casa Grande (The brotherhood of the Big House)

A detective novel about the state's trial of the witches of Chiloé)

        by Eduardo Pérez Arroyo

It's 1879. To the north, Chile defends foreign investment in the Pacific War. To the south, beyond the already invaded Araucania, from a large, almost unexplored island, rumors of violence, superstition and a state incapable of enforcing its law spread. The elite would be at ease if some “elements” that are not occupied at the border with Peru penetrated Chiloé. They need evidence to condemn those criminals who terrorize the population with old indigenous beliefs. They call themselves witches. They are organized as La Recta Provincia or La Hermandad de la Casa Grande. They lie to scare and change the names of the cities on the island –Achao, Dalcahue or Quicaví–, confusing them with others: Buenos Aires, Villarrica, Salamanca. If they were only myths, it would be enough for the government to forget that secret place. But the one who calls himself the Greatest Liar in the World claims to have escaped the sorcerers and travels the north glimpsing the aliens: he talks to them of malice, monsters and murders; of the bloody clans' struggles to become a decaying reign. For these lies, or to secure an unstable national pride, coronels and tenants decide to put an end to things that a mortal has no power to finish.

        Estepicursor (Steppicursor)

        by Marcelo Vera

After the collapse of her life as a couple and the breakdown of her expectations and projects, she desperately needs a place, something or someone to hold onto so as not to remain like a rolling plant at the mercy of the wind. With a simple, profound prose and full of references to popular culture, the Argentine author Marcelo Vera continues to deepen the narrative of the loss. After the publication of his first novel, Solo, and the poem El glitter de los solitarios, he experiments with the loneliness of a separation, the failure of motherhood and the fragility of illusion.

RAMÓN QUE SE LE PERDIÓ EL PANTALÓN

        by Israel (Puchu) Wiesler
