Gaspard in the Night
by Seng Soun Ratanavanh
The nocturnal adventure of a lonely and dreamy little boy, which echoes the inexhaustible imagination of young readers. Curled up in his bed, Gaspard is waiting for sleep and the night intimidates him a little bit. Isn’t the shade inhabited? Isn’t a noise suspicious. He is alone in the darkness, so alone… until a little mouse shows up and thinks it can help him find a friend, or at least the meaning of friendship. Their quest leads them into every room of the house, where they will meet a strange gallery of characters who are also prey to various worries, which they will manage to overcome together.
