St Mark's Diary
by Norman Morrissey
The 80 poems in this book chronicle the author's recovery from a parasuicide in a psychiatric clinic in the Eastern Cape in South Africa, while the Iraq War is being televised in the common room. Terse, often witty, often poignant, it reflects the struggles between inner and outer landscapes. The book is accompanied by a mastered CD, read by the poet in his experienced, well-nuanced voice.
