Description
President Nixon declared the War on Cancer in 1971. 45 years and billions of dollars later, it looks like we have lost the battle. Or have we?
When a natural, non-toxic way to fight cancer is discovered, it is big news in the scientific community. But instead of being embraced, it is fiercely opposed by those tied to the pharmaceutical industry.
Research by the late Mirko Beljanski, PhD,—one of the first green molecular biologists—revealed that natural molecules can selectively target cancer cells and work alongside many chemotherapy drugs. Called upon by President Mitterrand of France to treat his prostate cancer, Beljanski allowed Mitterand to reach his second term in office; but upon the president’s death, the scientist became the subject of relentless persecution.
This book, written through the eyes of Dr. Beljanski’s daughter, Sylvie, tells the true story of one woman’s quest to carry on her father’s legacy and to discover a new treatment for cancer. The book combines scientific information with a tale of defiance, hope, despair, personal growth and love.

“Throughout history, those brilliant individuals who have threatened the egos and reputations of the establishment, and/or the profits of industries, have been ridiculed, persecuted, or prosecuted. This is particularly so in the science and health industries. When I had pondered this myopic situation, Albert Einstein came to mind, and now, Beljanski.”
David P. Michaels, President, Foreign Press Association (FPA-USA)

Reviews
"The book, and the cancer research of Ms. Beljanski’s father was over fifty years in the making. This wonderful retelling of her father’s story and of his successes are well worth the read. This very informative book is right-on and quite enlightening. I would, of course, recommend it to anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer, as one of many great information sources in their own private search for treatments. It is alternative medicine and must be accepted as such. I was happy with my purchase and would definitely buy the book again." - Amazon Review - A really good resource! 5.0 out of 5 stars
“It does grant a window into the intriguing, competitive, and moneyed world of cancer research. A dramatic account of a controversial natural cancer treatment.” Kirkus review

Sylvie’s work is not only for those who have been diagnosed with cancer, but for all of us in the quest for well-being and cancer prevention. "Winning the War on Cancer is a must-read. It explains in great detail just how hard it is to look at medical treatment in a new way. My entire family has died from cancer so I have been educating myself on treatments, how to prevent cancer and health to prevent the onset of the cancers millions face today. The author's treatment methods are groundbreaking and a must read for anyone facing cancer." - Cozy Book R, Reviewer - Netgalley review
"This is a book that should be embraced by all, patients, researchers, and all readers. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book doesn’t only highlight facts about cancer treatment but also the ways of living a healthy life." - Florence Nalianya- Onlinebookclub
