Ukrainian mal’opys: the (un) told story

No one knows for sure at what point in history one should start talking about comics. It depends on the narrator and the point on the map where he is. Even though we are going to talk about Ukrainian mal’opys* here, we should stop at the start and by leaps and bounds to see from a bird's eye view that we are not alone in the multiple births, nativities, and discoveries of the ninth art form.

Author Biography
Ruslana Koropetska is the editor-in-chief of the UA Comix Publishing. Graduate of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing, specialty "Publishing and editing". She is engaged in practical editing and theoretical research of Ukrainian comics.
Vira Kordoba is a comics artist, illustrator, art editor of the UA Comix Publishing. A graduate of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing, majoring in "Machine Graphics". Artist of graphic novels "All that keeps on going", "Building Ukraine together", "Bubl".
