Twelve letters to youth
by Zhu Guangqian
Description
There are twelve letters in the book. Each letter is about what the young people are or should be concerned about, such as reading, self-cultivation, composition, social movement, love, philosophy, and so on. From Mr. Zhu Guangqian's writing, it flows like the elder's persuasion, like the sincere conversation of old friends. It is kind and natural to read, and benefits a lot. Although the author expresses his opinions on each topic and looks at the whole, there seems to be a consistent starting point to be found, that is, to persuade young people to have a deep vision, to work hard fundamentally, to take care of themselves, and not to follow the secular interests.
