Author Biography
Author. Oleg Mykhailov is a screenwriter and a playwright. Originally from Russia, Oleg has lived in Kharkiv for over 10 years, witnessing the full-scale Russian invasion and sharing his observations about the war, the city and its residents on Facebook on a regular basis. Under shelling, he created a cycle of tales about a strange spring, with baffling rumble coming from outside and stones falling from the sky.
Illustrator. Kateryna Gordienko started her career as an illustrator and a graphic designer back in 2019. She studied at the Projector Creative & Tech Online Institute and took courses in computer graphics at ArtCraft CG School. She participated in 11 group exhibitions and made it to the shortlist at the ARTDONATION 2024 poster competition. The book ‘Dictionary of War’, illustrated by Kateryna, was shortlisted as the ‘Best Ukrainian Books of 2023’ award by PEN and was published in Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria and Japan.
