Author Biography
Dr. Roya Akhavan currently serves as Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at the Department of Mass Communications, St. Cloud State University. She is an award-winning educator and scholar, whose research has been published in top international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Akhavan's work in the field of mass communication extends into a wide range of related areas, including international affairs, peace studies, gender issues and spirituality in the 21st century. She is a frequent speaker at national and international forums and radio and television programs.
Dr. Akhavan has lived and worked in four different cultures: Persian, American, Japanese and Chinese.
