Author Biography
Vítor Encarnação was born in 1965 in Aldeia de Palheiros, a small village in Ourique, Alentejo. He lived in several places in Portugal, as well as in Germany, but soon realized that it was in Alentejo that he was supposed to live, other than anywhere else. He has a Md. in Languages and Modern Literature and teaches English and Germany in the local secondary school. He hosts a weekly radio show for many years, and writes for several local newspapers. He has also contributed with his own texts for audio records of the World Heritage singing tradition Cante. He is also president of ASSESTA (Writers Association of Alentejo).
