The book tells the story of Lui, who leads a solitary life. One day, the wind brings a leaf from a tree to his window. However, this is no ordinary leaf; this Leaf starts speaking to Lui and urging him to journey into the world. Lui traverses through wild country and listens to the voices of nature.

Author Biography

Nikola Aronová is a young talented illustrator and author. She studied graphics and illustration at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen. She was attracted to drawing since forever; you always doodled as a child.


She already has a second author's book on her account and still several manuscripts in a drawer.


Nikola likes to travel a lot, and her nomadic life naturally evolved also into creation. Everything she has written so far has to do with wandering or describes a journey.


She loves nature and especially mountains, which are a great inspiration for her work. No wonder, because if she is not at work or drawing, you can find her in the mountains, where she is passionate about hiking also devotes herself to mountain climbing.


Her love for mountains and traveling is also reflected in her first book, Last gift of Sound, which she also illustrated herself.


She also created illustrations for German writer Michael Ende's cult book Momo's Girl and Lost Time
and the book Eliáš a babička z žijěčka by the Czech writer Ivy Procházková.
