Author Biography
The master Hsing Yun
Master Hsing Yun was born in Chiang-tu, Jiangsu Province, China in 1927.
Upon arriving in Taiwan in 1949, he became the editor-in-chief of the Magazines of Life. Buddhism Today, World Awakening, and many other publications.
Master founded over 200 Fo Guang Shan temples around the world. In addition to art galleries, libraries, publishers and bookstores, he founded hospitals, Buddhist colleges and universities. He founded a Buddhist cultural center, which later became the Fo-Guang publishing house. It publishes various Buddhist books, audio and visual teaching materials every year.
