The author is an Independent publisher with world rights in English, who is seeking publishers for foreign translation in print or digital editions, in all other languages, especially French, on an individual basis.

She is also seeking publishers of audiobooks in all languages, including English.

Film rights are also available in all languages.

Marketing Information

There is a readership in France requesting French language versions of this and other books by Jean Gill. As she lives in France in the village where the book is set, there is a local market.

She speaks French and could promote French language versions via bookshops, festivals and readings.

Author Biography

Prize-winning author Jean Gill, with 17 books to her credit, is known for the quality and variety of genres in which she writes; including historical fiction, contemporary novels, memoir and dog books. Underlying all her books are years of research and experience. Her website

A Welsh writer and photographer, Jean now lives in the south of France with a big white dog, a scruffy black dog, a Nikon D750 and a man. Many of her books have been traditionally published but she now self-publishes via the registered imprint 'The 13th Sign'.

For many years, Jean taught English in Wales and was the first woman to be a secondary headteacher in Carmarthenshire. She is mother or stepmother to five children so life has been hectic.
