Author Biography

Zhang Qiusheng was once the director of the Shanghai Writers Association, chairman of the Children's Literature Committee of the Shanghai Writers Association, and editor in chief of "Chinese Teenagers News". He has published poetry anthologies The Old Stump and Small Mushroom and Will the Fish Smile, prose pieces Fairy Tales in the Attic, collections of fairy tales Palm-size Fairy Tales, New Palm-sized Fairy Tales, The Mouse That Feeds Dinosaur, Dog Daddy and Cat Son, Collected Works of Zhang Qiusheng and others. His works have won the National Outstanding Children's Literature Award, the Soong Ching-ling Children's Literature Prize, the Bing Xin Children's Book Award, the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award, the Zhang Tianyi Fairy Tales and Fables Award, and others.
