Author Biography

Deng Xiangzi is a member of the Chinese Writers' Association, an editorial reviewer, and the executive editor-in-chief of Flower and Fire magazine. He is the author of a collection of children's novels, How Far Can a Pair of Shoes Go, The Girl in the Tree, and a full-length children's novel, The Cow Speaks, Singing Like a Cicada. His works have won the Ninth National Award for Excellent Children's Literature, the Fifth Chinese Excellent Publication Award, and the Third National Award for Excellent Children's Books. The copyright has been exported to the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia and other countries. Xie Changjiang, the first student of academician Yuan Longping, was the first deputy director and deputy secretary of the General Party Branch of Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, and the secretary-general of the Yuan Longping Agricultural Science and Technology Award Foundation. He was called "the first person to study Yuan Longping" by the media.
