Description
Grow up, get a job, find a partner, have a family, live the dream. This was always the plan…with some deviations along the way. Using sarcasm and vulnerability, Morwenna speaks about growing up, finding love, and then struggling when the rest of “the plan” isn’t meant to be. This is the raw and real story of one couple’s rollercoaster ride as they discover infertility, try various treatments, suffer an adoption reversal, and learn to make new plans and find the funny moments.

Reviews
“Mother’s Day can be rotten. There are lots of circumstances that can make it so; among them, struggles with infertility. In this page-turner about trying to become a parent, Winnipeg-based realtor Morwenna Trevenen tells her story of trying to conceive with her husband Kyle, then trying to adopt and then trying to conceive again. It’s a story with some awful twists and turns, but it is also very funny and highly readable. Infertiles, as she calls them, will relate. But you don’t need to have experienced these troubles firsthand – or even be a parent – to get caught up in this excruciating, wonderful story.”
Chasing Baby is one of the Best Books for Mother’s Day 2022 in The Globe and Mail.
“Exceptionally well written and laced with dark humor, “Chasing Baby: An Infertility Adventure” by Canadian author Morwenna Trevenen is a raw, sarcastic, informative, recognizable, true-live account of the struggles of growing up, dealing with infertility, fertility treatments, and the adoption process.” — Midwest Book Review
Author Biography
Morwenna was born and raised in Winnipeg and, while she loves to travel, and has lived in other places, she is proud to make Winnipeg her home with her husband and Charlie – the very best dog. She has always fancied herself an artist, living as an actor, musician, dancer, and now is thrilled to get to add “writer” to the list. She is a licensed REALTOR® and decorator in Manitoba, and gets her arts “fix” whenever she can. She can usually be found out for forest walks, at live shows, with her friends and family, and/or wherever there is cake or ice cream
