Author Biography

Fang Yiqun (1914-2007) is from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. He graduated from the Shanghai Municipal High School in 1934. He has been the editor of the editorial office of the China Book Bureau, the editor of the Children's and Teenagers' Publishing House, and the editor of the Shanghai Translation Publishing House. He started to publish his works in 1946 and joined the Chinese Writers' Association in 1980. He wrote a large number of children's literature works, and wrote the famous theoretical article "How to write shallow", which is an important guidance for authors who are interested in writing children's literature for young kids, and is still held as a treasure by many people.
