Author Biography
Abilio Guerra is an architect (FAU PUC-Campinas, 1982), Master and PhD in History (IFCH UNICAMP, 1992 and 2002), adjunct professor at FAU Mackenzie (undergraduation and graduation). With Silvana Romano Santos, is editor of Romano Guerra Editora and of Vitruvius Portal. Author of the books Architecture and Nature / Arquitetura e Natureza (Romano Guerra, 2017, CICA Awards 2017); and editor of two volumes of Textos Fundamentais sobre História da Arquitetura Moderna Brasileira (Romano Guerra, 2010); among others. Curator of the exhibition Arquitetura Brasileira: Viver na Floresta (Instituto Tomie Ohtake, 2010, CICA Awards 2011) and curator of the exhibition Território de Contato (with Marta Bogéa, Sesc Pompeia, 2014).
Marcos Grinspum Ferraz is a journalist, graduated in Social Sciences by University of São Paulo (FFLCH USP, 2010). Worked at Folha de S.Paulo (2009-2012), writing about music and theater; also worked at Brasileiros and ARTE!Brasileiros magazines (2012-2016), writing about literature, music, visual arts, and architecture. In 2015, integrated the research team for conceptual content design of Mission Museum. Lived for a year in Lisbon, where studied anthropology (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and worked as researcher for the series A Cidade no Brasil, held by Sesc TV. In 2019, resumed working at ARTE!Brasileiros. Over the years collaborated with other magazines, like Super Interessante (Portugal), Harper’s Bazaar, and Host & Travel.
Silvana Romano Santos is an architect (FAU PUC-Campinas, 1983). With Abilio Guerra, is editor of Romano Guerra Editora and Vitruvius Portal. Coordinated the edition and publishing of several architecture books, among them: Arquitetura: Uma Experiência na Área de Saúde (João Filgueiras Lima, 2012, Jabuti Prize 2013); Ministério da Educação e Saúde, Ícone Urbano da Modernidade Brasileira (Roberto Segre, 2013, Jabuti Prize 2014, CICA Awards 2014, IAB/RJ Prize 2013, ANPARQ Prize 2014); Lina Bo Bardi, Sutis Substâncias da Arquitetura (Olivia de Oliveira, 2006, IAB Prize 2006, RIBA International Book Awards finalist 2007, Jabuti Prize 2007); Quarenta Anos de Prancheta (Marcello Fragelli, 2010, Jabuti Prize finalist 2011); David Libeskind, Ensaio sobre as Residências Unifamiliares (Luciana Tombi Brasil, 2007, IAB/SP Prize 2008); Taipa, Canela Preta e Concreto (Lia Mayumi, 2008, Rodrigo Melo Franco de Andrade Prize finalist, IPHAN 2009).
