Author Biography
Alain Bretto is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Caen-Normandie. He also teaches at AgroParisTech and has previously taught in the United States and Italy. His research focuses on the theory of graphs and hypergraphs, and more specifically on their algebraic and topological aspects. A recognised expert in these fields, he is also interested in the applications of mathematics (image analysis, information theory, artificial intelligence, etc.). He is an associate member of the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti, Sicilia (Sicilian Academy of Science and Letters) and the Académie des sciences, arts et belles lettres de Caen.
