Case studies are critical to the issues of agricultural economics, because theory can only take one so far in rendering the economic and political forces impacting the stability of an agricultural market; therefore, this book should be a part of any university library with an agricultural economics class and particularly for those trying to emphasize an extension program for the education of subsistence farmers in best practices and global competition. We often see case studies on a particular crop in a particular country, but rarely do we see the interaction of an entire agricultural cross-section over a length of time as we do in this Albanian study. – The Journal of Agricultural & Food Information
