A Psycholinguistic Study of Second Language Output
by LIU Chunyan
Description
This book focuses on the frontier issues of psycholinguistics in second language (referred to as L2, including foreign languages) output, with the purpose of exploring the psycholinguistic mechanism of L2 output and learning process. We have systematically sorted out theoretical models such as mother tongue and models of L2 spoken language output, L2 writing output, L2 vocabulary extraction, L2 conversations and coordination mechanisms. At the same time, this book also explores Chinese learners’ L2 vocabulary extraction and crosslingual syntax. The priming effect, the role of working memory in L2 output, the non-fluency of L2 spoken language, the effect of vocabulary deviation in L2 output, and the self-correction process of L2 output have been deeply studied.
