2 A.M.
by Chandra Bientang
Description
Three homeless youths are found dead, hanged on the edge of a flyover in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Then another body is discovered – this time with a utility pole wire tied around his neck. The police starts an investigation, albeit reluctantly. They have the same thought: They’re just homeless kids. Good riddance!
It’s as if someone is determined to clean up the streets of Jakarta in order to reduce the city’s many complicated problems. But do those kids really deserve to die? Even if they did, is this the right way to get rid of them? And who’s the psychopath behind this madness?
