Burleigh Dodds Subliscience Publishing was established in 2015 by former staff at the award-winning Woodhead Publishing. Our vision is to help solve one of the world’s greatest challenges: to feed the world’s growing population. There is an urgent need for a more climate-smart agriculture able to feed a growing population whilst, at the same time, adapting to (and not exacerbating) climate change. Our goal is to build collections of research on key topics in agricultural science so that researchers can build on existing work and collaborate more effectively. We are achieving this by using ’smart-publishing’ to help achieve ’climate-smart’ agriculture.

Pinter & Martin is an independent publishing company based in London. Most of our books are distributed worldwide. We publish authors who challenge the status quo. We specialise in pregnancy, birth & parenting, health & nutrition, psychology and yoga. Pinter & Martin was founded on May 9th, 1997 by the writer and film-maker Martin Wagner and childbirth educator Maria Pinter, when we realised that Stanley Milgram's extraordinary book Obedience to Authority was out of print in the UK. Hello and welcome to my presentation! I am Uwe Mayer, freelance Illustrator, author, designer and now also publisher of my children's picture book „DIE LAUFMASCHINE“, or in the English translation: “The Bicycling Baron". The book playfully tells the story of the invention of the bicycle from the very start. As a subject long overdue, it is original, based on fact and yet told in a humorous and original format with great illustrations throughout. DIE LAUFMASCHINE won the 1st prize from the State of Baden-Württemberg (Germany) for its original idea & concept in 2017. With further funding I was in the lucky position to not only create this important book project, but also publish it in 2019. Die Laufmaschine was nominated by the STIFTUNG BUCHKUNST for “Most Beautiful German Books" („Die Schönsten Deutschen Bücher“), Long List 2019. For this title I am offering foreign rights.
